The adventure begins with a private vehicle transfer from Huka Lodge to Taupō Boat Harbour, and joins a private launch for three hours of cruising and trout fishing on beautiful Lake Taupō . Join a private transfer to a waiting helicopter for the next leg of this tour, taking in Taupō’s natural attractions from on high.
Fly over Mt. Tauhara and enjoy a bird’s-eye-view of the Wairakei Geothermal Terraces, where silica-enriched water cascades over terraces from the geyser to the blue pools below. Silica deposits have formed astounding terraces reminiscent of the world-renowned Pink and White Terraces of Tarawera.
From the helicopter cockpit enjoy aerial views of the Craters of the Moon, the northern shores of Lake Taupō and the magnificent Ngatoroirangi Mine Bay Māori rock carvings.
The flight returns over the mighty Huka Falls before landing on the lawn at Huka Lodge.
