The Dining
Room

Overlooking the terrace and Waikato River beyond, the Dining Room comfortably accommodates up to 50 guests for dining as well as a productive day of meetings. The space transitions easily to an entertainment venue for up to 60 guests with cocktail style service.

Wine Cellar

The subterranean Wine Cellar is lined with some of the world’s most sought-after vintages plus a superb selection of premium New Zealand wines. A central feasting table, renaissance art and gilded chandelier sets the scene for candlelit dining for up to ten guests.

The Loft

Styled with country antiques and artworks personally sourced by Virginia Fisher, the Loft is located upstairs and presents a flexible space ideal for a formal meeting, think tank session or private dinner. Dining is accommodated on two tables of eight.

The Piper Room

Named in honour of Don Ryder, resident bagpiper from 1993-2018, who would call guests to dinner, the Piper Room is elegantly furnished with antiques and objets d’art, opening to a private balcony overlooking the Waikato River.

Library

The preferred dining venue of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Library with its regal-inspired décor is a cosy space with an intimate, quiet atmosphere, ideal as a breakout room or as a private meeting or dining space for up to ten guests.

Orchard

A versatile space for outdoor meetings or dining, the Orchard is set amongst heirloom fruit trees. Warmed by braziers, the setting accommodates up to 12 guests for intimate sit-down dining on two tables of six or up to 40 guests for cocktail-style drinks and canapés.

Day 1 Welcome

Arrive at Huka Lodge to a warm welcome. Make yourself at home, check in to your luxury suite and discover the lodge’s lounging areas, restaurant and gardens, all with a view to the rolling Waikato River.

Day 1 Evening

Meet your fellow guests and enjoy sunset drinks on the outdoor terrace overlooking the river. Gather for dinner in the elegant Dining Room and later, relax by the fire in the River Room.

Day 2 Morning

Explore the 17-acres of established gardens or head further afield to the Spa Park and wander along the riverbank to Huka Falls. It’s an ideal time to marvel at the attraction without the crowds.

Day 2 Afternoon

Join a scenic tour of Lake Taupō onboard a luxury cruiser, a wonderful way to take in views of the spectacular mountain-lined backdrop and explore secluded bays with optional trout fishing.

Day 2 Evening

Enjoy drinks in the lounge or gather outside on the terrace to watch the light over the river, before a four-course dinner in the sumptuous Dining Room or perhaps in a signature dining venue.

Day 3 Morning

This morning, hit the fairway for a half-day round of golf on a championship course or try your hand at the traditional sport of fly fishing for a chance to hook a prized rainbow trout.

Day 3 Afternoon

For a final group event, take a kayak or canoe and paddle to the Ngatoroirangi Mine Bay Māori Rock Carvings on Lake Taupō. Only accessible by water, it’s an epic sight.

Day 3 Farewell

Wrapping up three fabulous days of discovery in Taupō, bid farewell to colleagues or family and friends, with a host of wonderful memories to take on the journey home.
